Pay
We post real pay ranges, not “competitive pay.” Experienced upholsterers and trimmers earn $23 to $35 an hour, and every role on this site lists its own real hourly range.
We review everyone on a 90-day cycle. As you build experience and can work on your own, you're up for a raise: your pay keeps pace as your skills grow.
Get paid to learn
You don't need furniture experience to start. We train you on the job, paid from day one: you learn the trade hands-on and pick up new skills as you go, all while earning a paycheck.
We check in on a 90-day review cycle. Once you've built enough experience to work independently, you're up for a raise.

We promote from within. Many of our supervisors and managers started on the floor and worked their way up: they know our products and our standards because they helped build them.

Hiddenite is a small community in Alexander County, in the Blue Ridge foothills — the heart of North Carolina's furniture country, right beside the town of Taylorsville. Our headquarters and main plants are in Hiddenite (221 Craftmaster Road, NC 28636), with additional plants in Taylorsville, Lenoir and Wilkesboro — five across the state. If you live in the surrounding towns, we're a short drive away.
